#Vlog: Susanne backt ... Vanillekipferl

 "I already put the pre-heat into the oven." 


Since it is Christmas time, Me and my Horrible Christmas Sweater thought why not revive "Susanne kocht" and bake easy and delicious Christmas cookies: Vanillekipferl 

 

INGREDIENTS 

  • 500g Flour 
  • 160g powdered sugar
  • 400g (unsalted) butter
  • 200g almonds/walnuts/hazelnuts 
  • A bit of vanilla sugar


STEP 1:

After measuring the ingredients knead them to a smooth dough. 

STEP 2:

Place it in a bowl with a fresh towel or foil on top and let it rest for an hour

STEP 3:

After taking it back out again, roll the dough into smaller rolls roughly 3-4cm in diameters. Then cut those into smaller pieces (about 1 cm). Those smaller peaces are going to be formed into the Kipferl. 

STEP 4:

Put a full try into the oven at about 175°C for 15 - 20 minutes.

STEP 5:

Take them out, and sprinkle with sugar as long as they are still warm. Then let them cool.
